(b) Explain Newton-Raphson method to analyse load flow of power system.
3. (a) What do you understand by swing equation and power angle? How are they related with power system stability?
(b) Describe briefly how electrical power is transmitted in Bangladesh and why different voltage levels are used in different locations.
4. (a) Explain in short the working principle of gas based combined cycle power plant.
(b) What are the factors that need to be considered for the construction of a power plant? Describe.
5. (a) Explain why distributed instead of Lumped parameters are considered in long transmission line.
(b) Discuss the relative merits and limitations between overhead and underground cables.
